The Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography Exhibition at the United Nations Headquarters

UN 1On 19 May 2026, in anticipation of Croatia’s Statehood Day (30 May), the exhibition Croatian Scientists, Inventors, and Inventions opened at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The exhibition was prepared by the Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography for the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Comprising over twenty panels, it showcases Croatian scientists and inventors whose achievements have gained international recognition, including, among others, Herman the Dalmatian, Benedikt Kotruljević (Benedetto Cotrugli Raguseo), Faust Vrančić (Fausto Veranzio), Ruđer Josip Bošković (Roger Joseph Boscovich), Ivan Blaž Lupis (Giovanni Biagio Luppis), Ivan Vučetić (Juan Vucetich), Nikola Tesla, Slavoljub Penkala, Andrija Mohorovičić, Lavoslav Ružička, and Vladimir Prelog as well as recent Croatian achievements in high technology, such as Rimac Automobili, Dok-Ing, RONNA Medical, HSTec, Amphinicy Technologies, Applied Ceramics, and Include. Following its presentation at the United Nations, the exhibition will be shown in other cities across the USA, and there are plans to present it in additional languages at venues worldwide.
