A conference that brought together encyclopedia editors and publishers from both sides of the Atlantic was held at Norway House in Brussels, organised by the Great Norwegian Encyclopedia, the European Parliamentary Research Service, and the Mission of Norway to the European Union. The Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography was represented by its director, Bruno Kragić, and Nataša Jermen, assistant director for research and inter-institutional cooperation.
The Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography has successfully passed the first stage of evaluation of the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation.

The fourth workshop for the project Cooperation Framework of Digital Infrastructure in the Region − Opportunities and Needs in the Case of Material Concerning Famous People in Science and Culture was held on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2018 at the Library of the Croatian Academy of Science and Arts.
The sixth international conference The Future of Information Sciences (INFuture) is co-organised by the Department of Information and Communication Sciences from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography.
